1800 metres

425 Km of Slopes / 232 Runs
132 Lifts / 2 snowparks

Located in the heart of a 300 year old Swiss Stone pine forest, Les Arcs is made up of a number of villages each at slightly different altitudes. Each town is mostly pedestrianised and self-contained with their owns bars and restaurants so you’ll find each attracts a different type of holiday-goer.

The two largest towns are Arc 2000 and Arc 1800. The highest of the two, (Arc 2000) has unreal views and family-friendly slopes… so we tend not to go there. Instead we go to Arc 1800 – the busiest and largest village of them all. Not only does it have the best view of Europe’s highest glacier, Mont Blanc, but it’s by far the best place for partying.

Run break down: 10 green / 120 Blue / 66 red / 36 black

We find Les Arcs is really good at accommodating all levels. For beginners and intermediates there’s plenty of wide blues and tree-lined runs to explore as well as a challenging mogul field that’ll keep you busy for the first few days. If you’re feeling more confident, we love taking on the black run from Aiguille Rouge which covers 7km and has a vertical drop of over 2km.
